11.08.2025
Join us in New Orleans for a weekend of music, food & joy…
11.08.2025
Schedule
Wedding events are peppered across town with the “big day” spent mostly in the Garden District.
See here for more info.
Welcome Event – 6:00pm-8:00pm
Vaughan’s Lounge 4229 Dauphine St, New Orleans, LA 70117
Meet us for a casual welcome at this Bywater neighborhood beer & a shot institution. There will be live music, dancing & a guy who likes to BBQ whatever he feels like out front. An Uber/Lyft is recommended if you’re staying in the Garden District. We’ll likely wander over to Frenchmen St. for music afterwards, but you’re free to explore and ‘do whatcha wanna’ after we wrap around 8pm….
Dress code: Shelley will be joyfully overdressed, and John will be joyfully casual, so come as you are! (It’s a dive bar…)
Friday 11.07
Ceremony & Dinner – 4:00pm - 7:30pm
Mosquito Supper Club 3824 Dryades St, New Orleans, LA 70115
We’ll say our “I do’s” on the front porch of this sweet, amazing restaurant—where we’ll all dine together family-style, after the Ceremony. The chef has rooted much of the menu in her Grandmother’s cooking, which is code for: arrive hungry! It’ll be a multi-course affair.
*We will provide transportation from Mosquito Supper Club to our Reception at the St Vincent Hotel. See below and please visit our FAQ page for more info on the Secondline parade that happens between venues.
Secondline Parade & Reception – 7:45pm(ish) - 11:00pm
Hotel St. Vincent 1507 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70130
In Nola, we Secondline at our weddings! For those of you unfamiliar with the term—it’s a parade led by a brass band. We’ve set this up so that the band will greet us outside the moment we all arrive, and we’ll merrily “walk off” a little of that dinner together, parade-style. (These generally only travel a few blocks: it’s half dance party in the streets, half neighborhood stroll). Please See the FAQ page for more info!
Once the band has pied-pipered everyone into the St. Vincent’s Chapel Room, we’d like to share a few other wedding traditions, open up the dessert & cocktail bars, and hit the dance floor.
*Shelley can’t believe she’s approving this copy, but: choose your footwear wisely! Also check out our FAQ’s for more details on our requested Dress Code.
Saturday 11.08
Bon Voyage Brunch – 10:30am-12:30pm
Private Residence, Liberty Rashad 2014 St Philip St., New Orleans LA 70113
Our friend Liberty has graciously offered us her home for a low key, home-cooked send off. It’s an old Ship-Captain’s mansion in a really sweet part of town (Treme), not too far from the French Quarter.
(Liberty’s is the two-story purple house with tiling that reads “Rashad”. Can’t miss it! Please just come on in….unless you’re early, lol)
Sunday 11.09
Lassiez les bon temp roulez!
Whether you’re able to attend the whole weekend or just the day of, we’ll be honored to have you there.
We kindly ask that you RSVP here :)
